Hello! I'm so glad you're here. I'm thrilled to be launching this website and this new career! I admittedly am very intimidated about beginning a career in photography and going into business for myself, but I have a lot of motivation and I'm very excited for what I will learn and where it will go!
In the very beginning stages of dreaming and planning for this venture, I had so many questions. I knew I needed to connect with someone in the industry with a lot more experience than myself. It just so happens that my oldest friend Emily Saunders has been a successful photographer in New Bern, North Carolina for many years now. I reached out to Emily and she was so excited for me and offered her support. Not only did she share her knowledge and answer many of my questions about cameras, websites, and so much else, she offered to have me come visit her for a weekend and provide some hands-on experience. She organized multiple mini-sessions with her friends that allowed me to take hundreds of photos that I could use to launch my portfolio! I also accompanied her on a beach family session in Emerald Isle that she was photographing. I was blown away by her generosity and openness, and I learned so much! Emily, THANK YOU for your support. It means so much to me to have a friend like you.
